The Kumeu Village Kindergarten was established in 1994 to offer high quality educational experiences for 2-5 year olds in a caring and fun environment. We are proud that many of our staff have been at the kindergarten since it opened in 1994 and that we are consistently recommended by schools, whānau and our community.
Over this time we have developed an outstanding reputation for developing children’s interests in learning and establishing a solid foundation in learning enquiry, literacy and numeracy.
At the Kumeu Village Kindergarten we provide well over the required child / teacher ratios. The staff are the strength of the Kindergarten and are a unique close working and supportive team. They are highly experienced and qualified with Gabriella our Head Teacher receiving the Regional "Teacher Excellence" award in recognition of her outstanding leadership and teaching skills.
We offer sessional and day care options for 2 – 5 year olds, Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm. 20 ECE hours available. Our dedicated, highly experienced teachers, strong focus on literacy and numeracy skills will give your child the best start to meet their future learning needs. The Ministry of Education Education Review Office (ERO) conducted and extensive analysis of the centre operations in April 2016 and the report finds the Kindergarten is Very Well Placed to meet the needs of the children moving forward. This is the highest service evaluation provided by ERO. Yet still we have identified a number of areas to develop further to offer the children and whanau even more fulfilling learning opportunities.
